Once upon a time, there was a little house. It was in Rose Town, and it was on a little hill. It had a very tall brick smokestack. And the house was made with red bricks. Inside there was an old woman. She was named Alexa. She had gray hair and always wore yellow pants and a pink T-shirt. She was big had two yellow slippers. They were fuzzy with sheep's wool. She had matching purple pajamas, and her skin was white. She had bright blue eyes and not very much eyesight. She was so old, she had to use a walking stick.
Her mail always came straight to her house. But one day, something strange happened. She had ordered a recipe about how to make chicken nugget soup. But instead, she got a recipe about how to make tomato soup. She thought this was strange. Then she figured out that it was just a mail of mix up. She did a sigh of relief and quickly ran upstairs to her bed.
She had a soft brown wood bed. She had washed it 200 times that morning. So now, it was shiny, but very damp, too. Some of the paint was washing off with water. And when she had scrubbed it with a sponge before the mail mix up, it had started getting very, very delicate. She had soft, pretty, fancy covers. And two big fluffy white pillows. They were very soft. And hers was worn out and started getting rips.
She never had married. And she never had children. And she was waiting for a grandfather to marry her. So she sang a little song about that. Then she lay down on her bed, holding her recipe for tomato soup, and thinking about her recipe for chicken nugget soup. Then she sighed a sigh of relief and stared at the recipe for tomato soup. Then she went downstairs and made tomato soup, following the directions for the recipe carefully. She had the most beautiful, warm tomato soup for supper. And the day after that, she still had some left, and it was the soup contest, and whoever had the most yummy soup got a lollipop gold medal. She took her soup to the contest, and of course, she won. She sucked on her gold medal all the way home.
Love,
Caroline
