Once upon a time, there was a live word CAT (the letters were alive). They lived in a tall brown building with 24 windows on one side and ten windows on the other. The letters had a lovely feast and then went to bed. When they woke up, they heard lots of screeching outside. They looked out the window, and there were lots of fire trucks!
The word CAT ran downstairs into the waiting room. They saw yellow, red, and orange in every window, and it was going from big to small very fast. And the nearest window, they put their hand near it, and it was hot! "Ouch!" the word said, and they held their hand. The whole building was turning black, and the word CAT started hearing crumbling from the top of the building.
Everyone screamed for help and tried to run outside, but they couldn't get outside fast enough because the fires were in the way! They grabbed the nearest phone and called the fire fighters up for help. The fire fighters sprayed every fire with water, so they could get out safely before the building crumbled down. Then they called the builders, and the builders put super glue in between the bricks of the building so it could stay in place and not crumble down again. The word CAT and all the other people in the building screamed, "Yay fire fighters and builders!" And they all gave them a present - a Christmas card.
The word CAT invited some of the builders to have some doughnuts and cocoa in their apartment, and all the rest of the people invited the rest of the builders and fire fighters into their apartments to have some bread with butter and dougnuts with hot cocoa.

Caroline
