Decaying Flesh Residence, Part II

Chapter Five

I said in a very deep voice (since I was big), "Darren, where are you? Are you still there?"

I couldn't hear anything. I waited for a few more seconds. Then I heard the most high pitched noise I have ever heard. It was so faint, I almost couldn't hear it.

The voice said, "Yes, Cynthia? Are you talking? Is that you?"

"Yes, Darren," I sighed, relieved. "Climb up on to my hand, and I will try to take you out of the secret lab."

Darren said, "Well, Cynthia, I can't quite. The shags on the rug are like trees to me! How will I climb them?"

I pushed my huge hand lower. "Climb on my fingers, Darren!" I said, getting a little annoyed.

"But Cynthia, your fingers are like cliffs! How will I climb them?"

Now I was really furious. "Where are you, Darren?" I breathed.

"Just a few centimeters from your hand," he whispered. "The centimeters are like miles to me, though."

I moved my fingers until Darren exclaimed, "Cynthia, your fingers are right in front of me!"

"Good," I answered. I pinched very lightly. I heard him exclaim "Ouch!"

Then pushed him onto my hand. I brought him really close to my face. I couldn't see him, but I didn't care. I was about to move, but I realized something horrible. The stairs, they were like the size of dominoes. How would I get out of the lab?

I had an idea. With my free hand, I pushed against a wall with a grunt. It finally crumbled, leaving a hole big for me to crawl through.
